Schools in Badulla Receive Smart Boards from Foreign Employment Bureau

In a significant move to enhance educational facilities, the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment awarded smart boards to 15 schools in the Badulla district. This initiative took place during the Jayagamu Sri Lanka People’s Mobile Service event, held at the Badulla Football Stadium on May 31, 2024. The smart boards are primarily designated for schools that educate children of migrant workers.

The event was graced by several key figures, including the Minister of Labor and Foreign Employment, hon  Manusha Nanayakkara, and the Minister of State for Foreign Employment Promotion, Mr. Jagath Pushpakumara. Other notable attendees included the Minister of Ports and Civil Aviation, Nimal Siripala de Silva, the Minister of State for Urban Development and Housing, Tenuka Vidanagamage, Member of Parliament Vadivel Suresh,  R.P.A. Wimalaweera. The Secretary of the Minister of Labor and Foreign Employment  and Hilmi Aziz  Chairman Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment, , other officials, and a large number of local residents also participated in the event.

This initiative is a step towards improving the educational infrastructure for the children of migrant workers, providing them with modern learning tools to enhance their educational experience.
