The Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) has inaugurated its Kilinochchi District Center, providing a wide range of services to the migrant workers’ community. The center was officially opened on July 13, 2024, by the Minister of Labor and Foreign Employment, Honorable ManushaNanayakkara.
After unveiling the commemorative plaque, the center commenced its operations by registering a worker preparing to go abroad for employment. The Kilinochchi District Center offers numerous facilities and services, includingල Self-Registration for Foreign Employment, Foreign Employment Training: Providing necessary training to prepare workers for foreign job markets, Conciliation Services, Complaint Reception, Investigation Departments: Handling investigations related to complaints and other foreign employment matters.
This center is set to become a pivotal point for migrant workers in the region, ensuring they receive the support and resources needed for safe and successful employment abroad
