Fees that you should pay to register with the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment for the First Time
The initial registration fee is Rs. 22,027 / = (18,200 + 18% (VAT) +2.5%(SSCL))

Renewal of SLBFE Registration
Documents and requirements to be submitted for renewal of your SLBFE registration
(Please submit Iqama Card or a copy of it when renewing registration for Saudi Arabia)
Registration renewal fee is Rs.4,599 / = (Rs.3,800 +18% (VAT)+2.5(SSCL) )
If you are going abroad for employment, you have the opportunity to apply for SLBFE registration through online and the fees can be paid online. Applying for first time registration and renewal of the registration are facilitated on line.
Documents that you need to upload to apply for registration are mentioned below and you have to submit them when you visit SLBFE head office or branch office for the SLBFE registration. First time registrations and renewal of the registration.
Registration can be obtained from Sri Lankan Embassy in that country at the time of renewal of Bureau Registration or at the time of change of employer.
If working under the same employer from the time of obtaining the Bureau registration, it is valid for 2 years from the date of registration. You must renew your registration after 2 years. However, if your previous employment contract expires within 2 years or on any day of the employer change, the 2-year validity of the Bureau registration will also be void. At the time of entering into a new employment contract under the new employer, the Bureau registration should be done by paying the initial registration fee.
When you are abroad, one of the your family members can visit Head office or any branch office of the SLBFE and renew your registration. Required documents to be submitted are a photocopy of the valid visa and photocopy of the passport.
