Direct Recruitment of a Sri Lankan Worker other than Female Domestic

A Sri Lankan worker can be directly hired by an employer without going through a recruitment agency. In this event the required document should be submitted to the  Embassy of  Sri Lanka, Sri Lanka High Commission or Consul General  of the respective country by the employer who wish to recruit Sri Lankan Worker.

 

Documents that should be submitted by the Employer :

 

  • Individual employment contract
  • Copy of the identification document of the employer
  • Employer’s Profile
  • A copy of the passport of the prospective worker
  • A copy of the visa of prospective worker

Direct Recruitment of Female Domestic worker – Middle East Countries

In the event of a direct recruitment of Sri Lankan female domestic worker, the employer should deposit equal to 1500 US $  to the Labor and Welfare section of Embassy of  Sri Lanka, Sri Lanka High Commission or Consul General  of the respective middle east countries with the required documents.  For the other countries which the Labor and welfare sections are not operated in the of Embassy of Sri Lanka, Sri Lanka High Commission or Consul General the above deposit is not required.

 

Employer should purchase a life insurance for the Sri Lankan Female domestic workers to be employed in U.A.E., Qatar, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Bahrain.
